Stall Area (Lonestar and Stierwalts)

Stall Area Arrangement (Lonestar and Stierwalts): The stall area in these models are the reason many people choose to purchase a new trailer. As most of us in the livestock business know the amount of equipment space required is equal to or greater than the space that is required for livestock.

Doors and Ramps- The access points to the stock area are important to increasing the function of your trailer. The type of access points can make using the trailer a much more pleasurable experience.

Rear Gate with Slider- This is the Standard rear gate on these models. It provides a sliding gate so loading livestock at load out chutes is possible. If you don't want the rear slider this gate can be built solid.

Double Rear Doors- Popular to many people that don't want to have a large gate to swing around.

Dutch Doors- The Dutch back doors have been increasingly popular with customers who desire to show out of their trailer or want increased air flow in summer months. The top half of the doors open and can be latched to the side of the trailer and the bottom half of the doors are your ramps. The bottom halves can either be split or full width ramps.

Rear Ramps- These ramps can either be split or solid rear ramps. They are more popular option on true show trailers. It's important to remember that by adding a rear ramp it does limit you to backing up in certain situations to load livestock that might not be show broke let's just say.

Side Ramps- One of the most popular options on these models. We typically place these ramps on the passenger side towards the front of the trailer but other options for placement are available. Our standard side ramp is 48" wide but the width can be adjusted to accommodate your specific needs. We have done several wider ramps so people could drive 4-wheelers in the stock area.

Escape Doors- We typically try to put an escape door on every trailer. Even with side ramps most of the time we will put an escape door across from the ramp to make it easy to gain access to the stock area without having to put down the ramp.

Interior Gate Options- The interior gates play a vital role in use and function of the trailer. The proper placement of the gates can be as important as the style or quantity of the gates.

Set Gates- These are the standard gate options that come in the trailer. They can either be solid and have sliders or gates in them. Most of the time if we use these gates we try to do a good job getting measurements to make them work for the customers that will use them.

Floating Gates- This option is the most popular of the interior gates. Mainly it gives one the most flexibility of use. We typically make our gates float from the front of the trailer to the customer's desired distance in the stock area. These gates can have sliders or gates within them.

Sliders- These sliding gates can be incorporated with every gate option we offer. They provide an opening wide enough for livestock or equipment to fit through.

48" swing gates- These gates can be incorporated in the interior gates and allows a larger opening in the floaters or stationary gates. This option is popular with people that will sort their livestock in the trailer.

Hardware and Accessories- There are many options for Hardware and accessories in the stock area. We will list a few of the more popular ones but always feel free to ask us questions about a custom option that would suit your needs.

Electrical- We can add 110 V plugs to the stock area to run heat lamps or other 110 V items. It does require that the trailer has at minimum a 30 amp electrical package.

Feeder Rail- We put feeder rail on all center gates standard but can add more rows of these rods at a customer's request. We can also add the feeder rail on the tack walls or above the pens to store your hanging feeders when not in use.

Fresh Water tanks- We can add a fresh water holding tank either in your stock area or in the gooseneck nose in those models. We can provide a spigot in the stock area to provide fresh water for your livestock with an on demand pump.

Misters- With the fresh water tanks we can also plumb in misters to keep animals cool on hot days when setting still or traveling.

Cup Waters- The waters can be added in each pen or just specific pens. These cups will allow animals to have access to water on demand. Each cup is equipped with a shut off valve so you can regulate the amount of water animals receive.

Fans 110V- These fans can be mounted from the roof or sidewall position to move air when sItting still or on the road.

Max Air Fans- For the person not wanting to mess with 110 V electricity we can add these 12v fans in the stock area to move air in or out of the stock area. These do require the 12v battery package.

AC units- We can add air conditioner units to the stock area to provide a temperature controlled environment. This requires additional electrical support to operate properly.

Roof Vents- We typically at least like to have one vent for every two pens. These vents can be adjusted to either pull air in or push air out.

Shelves- We can add shelves in the stock area at your specific location either as a place to store buckets and pans or an area to store extra woodchips.

Rubber Mats- Adding rubber mats in the stock area gives your animals cushion between the floor and their feet. This mat is 1/2 thick and is cut to fit the area.

Werm Flooring- This is a major upgrade from the standard rubber mats. It is a permanent addition to the trailer and provides a cushion to the floor while adding longevity to the trailer. This flooring option is sealed to the floor and is impermeable. It basically keeps urine and waste from coming into contact with your floor. Best part of this option is there is no pulling mats to clean out the trailer.
